MARTIN PÖLL - STREET ARTIST
In my artistic work I am mainly inspired by nature, my surroundings and above all by my origins. Balsa wood, balsam, maple seed: Plant forms and the relationship of the human body to nature form the basis of my work. Individual characteristics, such as their basic geometric structure or their movement in space, are translated into sculptural objects through reduction.
I have always liked the sight of a windmill from afar, now I have a rotor blade tip of such a windmill. My concept is to cut out two sculptural bodies and form them into a two-part maple seed. My idea involves the turning of a windmill, a closer look at the flight of a maple seed. So I want to illustrate the transformation into a maple seed.
I see it as a new challenge as a sculptor to get involved with an existing form of a rotor blade and am sure that something new artistic will emerge.
